2026 Food Drive
Dates: September 14th- October 2ndWeekly Prizes
-Week 1 Sept 14-18: Bring in 10 cans/food item from approved list to your first period teacher, and you will earn the privilege to wear shorts ALL the following week (9/21-9/25)
-Week 2 Sept 21-25: Bring in an additional 10 cans/food item from approved list to your first period teacher, and you will earn the privilege to wear pajama pants ALL the following week (9/28-10/2)
-Week 3 Sept 28- Oct 2: Bring in as many cans/food items from approved list to your first period teacher in order to help your 1st period class win a Pizza Hut Pizza party during lunch on October 9th! (Grand Prize)
Students: You must bring in 10 cans/food items per week in order to earn the prize for the following week. On Friday September 18th and Friday September 25th, first period teachers will send a list to guidance and an announcement will be made for you to come get your ticket in order to wear the shorts or pajama pants for the following week. You must show your 1st period/2nd period teacher your ticket each morning in order to wear your shorts or pajama pants. If you lose your ticket, we will NOT give you another ticket.
Teachers: On Monday September 14th, you will be emailed a spreadsheet with two tabs: the first tab will have a daily total of cans for your 1st block. WE ARE ONLY COUNTING CANS IN 1ST BLOCK! NOT 2ND BLOCK- HOWEVER, YOUR 1ST PERIOD STUDENTS CAN BRING YOU CANS BETWEEN CLASSES, DURING BREAK (A OR B DAYS), BUT NOT DURING INSTRUCTIONAL TIME. During Owl time over these 3 weeks, a student council member will come collect the cans from your room daily.
