Seniors who participate in free-/reduced lunch programs OR are wards of court OR certified as homeless-if you meet UT Martin's admission requirements, you may apply for free with waiver form from guidance office. Admission requirements are: 21 ACT comp AND 2.7 GPA or better OR 19 ACT comp AND 3.0 GPA or better.
Seniors with 28 ACT comp and 3.5 GPA or better may apply for University Scholars Program at UT Martin. If accepted into the program, students will participate in a foreign study program in Italy. Scholarships will be awarded to students accepted into this program and will be $5500 per year for four years. Deadline for program applications is Nov. 15.
Students may apply for admission to Carson Newman University at no cost. Students may also attend an open house event on Nov. 3 and Feb. 23. Students may also sign up for Eagle Experience, a shadowing event that pairs a potential student with a current student on March 26 or April 9. Sign up cn.edu/visit for events.
Scholarships and Leadership Programs
Prudential Spirit of Community Award-grades 5-12 students who have participated in volunteer service activity in the past year are eligible to apply. Apply online at spirit.prudential.com by Nov. 6. This program is highly competitive and offers state and national scholarships.
The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to high school seniors. Students are reconized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communies. Seniors may apply online at www.coca-colascholarsfoundation.org/apply. The application is open through Wednesday, October 31st.

Scarlet Family Foundation Seniors and alumni students are eligible to apply. Applications taken between now and December 15, 2018. This scholarship has to be for STEM majors and have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher. You can apply, at scarlettfoundation.org. For more information, please see guidance.
The University of Memphis offers a $5000 yearly scholarship which is renewable for 4 yrs. to seniors who meet admission standards and who are first-generation college students. A first-generation college student is a student with parents who have no post-secondary degree. These students will receive additional mentoring to ensure college success, and application fees will be waived for students on free/reduced lunch programs and/or in foster care or wards of the court.
